  Show/Hide Event Float ⌥E ⇧5⃣

Make the Event floating window visible. The current event is shown in the window. I find it useful when I am working on a “mixer” screen simply for a reference.

Event Float window — Logic Pro X

The Event Float window provides information on the currently selected event (or region), and can be compared with a single line of the Event List. You can edit the following parameters in this window.

Compression: When and How to Use It in Nectar, Neutron, and Ozone

In previous articles, we covered different types of hardware compressors and why their behavior matters in this hybrid/digital world. We also covered typical mistakes engineers make in using compression. This article expounds on compression in a specific way: we are diving into the various compressors available in the iZotope ecosystem and relating them to real-world applications.

Revert to Track Header Configuration Factory Default — Logic Pro X keyboard command of the day

Logic Pro X keyboard command of the day. #LogicProX @StudioIntern1

Revert to Track Header Configuration Factory Default

I can set my Track Header components as I need them. Normally most are off. I can save my choices as a user default, which can be changed when I see fit.

This command makes it easy to forget all the weird settings I might be using and get back to the “normal” way of looking at track headers.

Normally I only have mute and solo buttons visible and the simple “light” activity indicator.

  Print ⌘P

A most fundamental command across all applications. Other than a score I am not sure what I would print, or where the print command might be active…Score Editor only.
