Discard Recording and Return to Last Play Position ⌘.
The command-period command has been used by many applications to abort/cancel a long running operation. Sometimes I find myself using it to try to stop a bounce or export, to little avail.
I think that I would be happiest doing recording using Logic if I could see the performer. My memory just turned my whole computer into a PortaStudio with 4 tracks on a cassette 😉

Discard Recording and Return to Last Play Position: Use to delete the recording and move the playhead back to the last play position. Unlike Record/Record Repeat, you need to manually begin a new recording, using any Record command.
Record off for all
Turns off “Record” for all channels. I can’t seem to find any specific documentation for this.
“Record off for all” is mapped to OPTION+REC button on an MCU. If you press and hold OPTION, then press REC all channels will have Record turned off.

1962 BBC Training Manual | Martin Mitchell’s Microphones
In the 1951 BBC Microphones training manual we saw that the corporation functioned with a small selection of British manufactured microphones, most of which had been in service since the 1930’s. So when I saw this Manual from 1962 I was curious to see how ‘Auntie’ had moved on into the swinging sixties.
The microphone layouts for orchestra and “dance bands” are outstanding.
