Overview of groups in Logic Pro — Apple Support

Prior to mixing, you may find it useful to define some logical channel strip groups. You could, for example, group all drum channel strips under one drum group. This would allow you to control the group meters (volume, pan, mute, solo, sends, and so on) using a single control, while still maintaining the relative parameter values of each channel strip.

Configure Channel Strip Components… ⌥X — Logic Pro keyboard command of the day

  Configure Channel Strip Components… ⌥X

Change the available components on a channel strip. You can reduce clutter, or add things that make working with the mixer easier. You can store a configuration as ‘user defaults’ and apply those settings when desired.

Work with channel strip settings in Logic Pro — Apple Support

You can remotely switch between channel strip settings by sending MIDI program change messages. This allows you to select your favorite sounds by pushing a button on your MIDI keyboard. To use this feature, you need to save a channel strip setting as a performance.

Open/Close Audio Insert 7 Plug-in Window of focused Track — Logic Pro keyboard command of the day

Open/Close Audio Insert 7 Plug-in Window of focused Track

Opens or closes the plug-in window of the seventh insert on the channel. We’re almost beyond easy recognition of which insert this will actually work with.

Work in the plug-in window in Logic Pro — Apple Support

The header area at the top of a plug-in window is common to all plug-ins. You can use it to adjust the size of the window, link plug-in windows when more than one is open, switch the plug-in parameter view, and route side chain source signals.

NB These are Global Commands. You can open the plugin windows for a track even if you can’t see the channel strip in any of the visible views. It’s kind of nice to be able to work with a plugin without the distraction of the standard mixer or channel views.

Sends on Faders — Cycle Through Returns — Logic Pro keyboard command of the day

Sends on Faders - Cycle Through Returns

Cycles through the returns when using Sends on Faders.

Adjust panning for sends independently in Logic Pro — Apple Support

After you choose Independent Pan for a send, you can adjust the send’s panning by setting the send to Sends on Faders mode. In this mode, the fader controls the volume to the send, and the pan knob controls the pan type and position to the send. To learn more about panning and balance, see Set channel strip pan or balance positions.

I included the link to Sends on Faders to the panning section. I think I might like setting the sends to Independent Panning.

Channel strip controls in Logic Pro — Apple Support

Each channel strip has a set of controls (also called components), which varies according to channel strip type. You can adjust the channel strip volume and pan position, mute and solo channel strips, add and adjust effects, and send the output to auxiliary or output channel strips.
