  Set Smart Tempo Mode to Keep

Keep Project Tempo: Maintains the project tempo when you record audio or MIDI, or when you import audio files. Audio regions for which the Flex & Follow parameter is not set to Off conform to the project tempo. Choose this mode to work as in previous versions of Logic Pro.

Smart Tempo overview — Logic Pro X:

Smart Tempo brings powerful new tempo analysis and editing capabilities to Logic Pro. With Smart Tempo you can record a performance without the metronome and have Logic Pro adapt the project tempo to match the tempo of the recording, or keep the project tempo and flex the recording to match it. Smart Tempo also makes it easy to create remixes using audio files and MIDI regions with different tempos that all conform to the project tempo, or adapt the project tempo to the tempo of an imported audio file or MIDI region.

  Copy Group Settings

In the “Groups Inspector” window/area. In the gear menu/icon.

Copies the settings for the current group. Helpful to set a number of things for a different group.

Using groups successfully requires an understanding of the “Group Clutch”. Normally when you change something on a channel in a group the entire group gets changed. If you want to make a change to only one channel you engage the clutch “⇧G” (documentation has it wrong”, The clutch is a toggle, so you have to press “⇧G” to dis-engage. Touch bar enabled as well. The touch bar has 8 buttons. Keyboard modifiers apply. Many commands possible…

Groups inspector — Logic Pro X:

You use the Groups inspector to define the behavior of each Mixer group. The Groups inspector appears in the Track inspector when one or more groups have been created, and it can be opened as a floating window as well. It contains the following settings:

Deciding how long a reverb tail to use in your mixes encompasses a lot of variables. What is the tempo of the song? How busy are the parts? Are there a lot of open spaces between phrases, or are they densely packed together? Do you want to convey a sense of an intimate closer space, or a larger distant space? These are just some of the considerations that play an important role in communicating the intended emotion of the music.

OH! MY! If I highlight one or more commands in the key commands window I can copy and past the list of selected commands. I have only ever done that with all of the commands…

Score Editor overview — Logic Pro X:

The Score Editor can display a single MIDI region or software instrument track. In the Score Editor, each track appears as a separate staff. Notes, rests, and other musical events in the MIDI regions on the track are displayed in standard musical notation.
