If no region is selected, the upper line of the Region inspector displays the text Default Settings. The region parameter settings displayed are applied to newly recorded regions as realtime playback settings.

I wonder why they simply didn’t define it as multiple commands — the Marquee descriptions can be confusing.

To perform some edits on regions, you must first select the regions. You can select one or multiple regions, select regions on different tracks, and quickly select muted regions, overlapped regions, or regions meeting other criteria. Selected regions appear brighter in the Tracks area than unselected regions.

Previous Part Box Symbol
Selects the previous (to the left) symbol in the Part Box. Simple way to switch symbols without having to drag the mouse to the box and click.

When Show Advanced Tools is selected in the Advanced preferences pane, you can add notes and other symbols from the Part box in the inspector. The Part box contains a complete collection of score symbols, arranged in groups. You can control which symbols are displayed in the Part box, reorder symbol groups, and open the Part box as a separate, floating window.
