Overview of Touch Bar shortcuts in Logic Pro — Apple Support

If your Mac has a Touch Bar, you can use gestures to start and stop playback and recording, navigate through your song, adjust track and instrument levels, and play instruments. The controls in the main area of the Touch Bar (to the right of the Control Strip) change depending on what Touch Bar screen you are using and what is selected in the app.

The Touch Bar in Logic works a lot like you might expect if you’ve used it with other Apple apps. It borrows some of the features that first launched in GarageBand and Final Cut Pro, for instance, with an overview of the timeline and some buttons for making quick adjustments of various settings for the selected track. But it also includes fully customizable buttons that can be assigned to keyboard shortcuts!

This is one useful reason for having a Touch Bar. I use Touché from Red Sweater .

  Select Members of Group 53

Selects the channels that are members of group 53.

You can also automate a group. This lets you easily set the change for parameters of a group of channel strips over the course of a project. For example, you may wish to group all of your guitar channel strips together and have all of their relative volumes change at the same time throughout your project. I don’t think I appreciate the enormous numbers of tracks and channels that can be involved in a project. I might get 30 to 40, but quickly reduce my efforts by busing them in appropriate ways.
