  Set Locators/Loop by Regions/Events/Marquee and Enable Cycle/Loop  ⌘U

Set the locators based on the current selection. I usually prefer the action of setting the locators by command as opposed to using the auto-set locators.

Set Locators by Regions/Events/Marquee: Sets the locators at the start and end points of the selected regions or events, or the marquee selection.

Play audio from the current selection (start of selection). A very typical usage is to highlight something with the Marquee tool (I use the secondary tool — command held down as opposed to having marquee regions in the lower half of a track).

Control playback in Logic Pro with the transport buttons — Apple Support

You can use the transport buttons in the control bar to control playback, or to set the playhead position. You can click the buttons to activate or deactivate functions, or use the corresponding key commands to speed up your workflow.

  Show Tool Menu T

Displays the Tool Menu at the location of the cursor. This works in the Arrange window. Acts a lot  like a contextual menu. Tools can be selected with two keystrokes — ‘T’ and the letter for the tool.
