Treat the selected notes as recorded or written. Do not extend notes to minimize rests, etc. Play it like a computer, not a human 😉
Change the syncopation or interpretation of notes — Logic Pro X
By default, note syncopation and interpretation match the settings chosen in the Region inspector. You can change interpretation settings for individual notes to improve readability.
If Interpretation is turned off, note lengths are displayed as closely as possible to their real values, as determined by the Quantize value. In the following example, the same MIDI region is shown twice, the first with Interpretation turned off, the second with it turned on:
